68% Of Americans Think Illegal Immigration Is A Major Issue

More than 2 out of every 3 Americans think illegal immigration is a serious problem according to the most recent Rasmussen Reports poll. The survey found, “68% of likely U.S. voters think illegal immigration is a serious problem in America today.” On the contrary, “only nine percent (9%) say it’s Not At All Serious.”

It is important to note that back in August of 2015, Rasmussen found that 80% of Americans thought illegal immigration to be a serious problem. The down tick in recent years is speculated by Rasmussen to be because, “President Trump’s focus on the problem has lessened voter concern somewhat.”

Whether or not the Americans worries will continue to be calmed is subject to question if serious immigration reform legislation is eventually passed or not. If the drop in Americans level of concern is due to Trump’s presence in office, it is difficult to know just how long his aura will remain soothing without action.
